Summer is only round the corner, while the weather isn’t on our side just yet, we want to help you prepare for when it finally is. Summer is for exploring and taking on the open road, and here at Trust Group UK we think that shouldn’t be tainted by a breakdown. We’ve put together a list of all important things that we think you should keep an eye on before you embark on your summer journeys.

We are starting off with….oil! Don’t wait for the warning light to shine, be sure to regularly check your oil levels. If you’re not sure how, you can find all the information you’d need in your car’s trusty handbook.

As the weather gets warmer your car can too, which can cause it to overheat and ultimately breakdown. Stop that from happening by checking your coolant level. While you’re preventing your car from overheating, check for any leaks too.

Is your car’s battery getting a bit old? If so, consider changing it now. Issues with batteries are one of the most common causes behind breakdowns. Don’t let that get in the way of your car journeys this summer.

Finally, don’t let your tyres be the reason why your summer adventures are halted! Check they are inflated properly and make the recommended adjustments, especially if your car is fully loaded!

If you’re unsure and have any questions, we are always happy to help.
